I made this diaper cake for one of my friends expecting a baby girl. It's time consuming, but I always have such a great result. Cute and a great decoration for the shower!

Dora Cake...

Cakes for my own children's parties are always so rushed! There's so many other things going on, that I always run out of the time I need to do a great job for them, too. This cake had a rough beginning, but I think I managed to save it pretty well after decorating...





A teacher once told me that being a professional is not always about making the perfect cake, but about learning how to hide the mistakes. I like to think that by that measure, my professionalism grew leaps and bounds with this cake!

Princess Cake...

Here is a cake I made for my daughters birthday party. I ran out of time to finish the topper and other details, but it was still cute and helped set the scene for her princess party perfectly!

Cowboy Cake...

And here, is my crown jewel (so far!) It's for a little cowboy's first birthday party. I got the idea for this cake from the internet, and then changed a few things to make it work better for our situation. I'm so happy with how it turned out and really look forward to making more big fun cakes like this!

A Brief History of my Cakes...

Here's the first cake I ever made. It was for my daughter's first birthday back in 2007...


2nd Cake=2nd Birthday...


I had a newborn for this birthday, so I kept it simple. One big M&M cake for the birthday girl and colorful cupcakes for all the guests...

I made this cake for a friend's lingerie shower. It took some time, but it turned out so good. And it was just a fun concept to figure out...

This is my most recent venture- into the world of fondant. I found a good marshmallow recipe that tastes alot like candy corn. It is such a fun medium to work with- and I got to combine my skills of cut-and-paste with my cake making! I learned alot and will do things a little different next time, but I think it turned out great for my first attempt!
